what happened to the mongolie grill in dalhousie. its gone. did they move, is the one downtown still open. we made our dinner plans to go their tonight, drive all the way there and theres nothing. the store is vacant. :'( I like where i can choose my food as being celiac realy limits my choices. anyways we ended up at nicks on crowchild instead and now im sick :'(.
i guess im just looking for answeres.
anyone know of a good smorgy board in the se where every thing isnt battered or deepfried? ( both are out due to contamination)

I'm pretty sure that the Mongolie Grill is open downtown. If not; try Kubali because it's relatively the same.

whats a celiac? no offense, i really have no idea?

Allergic to wheat and dairy.

I think that there's a mongolie grill type of place on McLeod across from Big4. I remember eating there once. Anyone know if it's still open?
As a guy with dietary issues (that are fortunately mild enough that I can get away with ignoring them sometimes), I feel your pain.

wheat and dairy. shitty. but wheat and dairy arent really good for anyone so you're not missing out.
i work at big 4 and i know there is something next door to us. i know for sure there is a real good mexican restaurant next door. ill check what the other two are tomorrow.

+1 on the mexican place. Their Posole is OUTSTANDING!
Oh...and that Thai place in that strip mall is deadly. Love that place. Fabulous papaya salad.
That "pick yer own" place is across the street if I recall correctly.
-
So what is the name of the Mexican restaurant? I have been looking for a good one.....
-
Mariachi's. It's in the little strip mall just south of Big 4. It's on the end that faces onto McLeod.
My girlfriend isn't completely sold on the place, as she finds it too spicy. I love the place.
The service isn't exactly fast, but the food is worth the wait.
-
yes the place yer lookin for is across the street from big 4 on mcleod trail.
the mexican place is mariachis. very good food. service is a little slow yes, but its not asian people running a taco bell, its actually run by mexican folk:) ive been a couple times and managed to pick food that wasnt too spicy. but very tasty. and the best margarita on ice ive had since i was i mexico.
another great mexican restaurant is el sombrero on 17th ave (red mile). about half a block east in 17th ave. small restaurant but really good food.

That place shut down because of the recession, many places cant get enough employees to be open. I have been to several food joints around town around the noon hour and they were closwed. Not many people want to work for low wages.
-
That'll change. Low wage is better than no wage.
