on a 1992 yj is the serial number stamped anywhere else other than the plastic piece on the drivers side dash

check the firewall of the jeep for a plaque that mayches your jeeps color. it may be on there too. if its even there...

thanks, was looking at buying another yj but Vin numbers were missing, I decided to stay away from it  as it may of been stolen at one time
