Princess Auto had one in their catalogue a few months back, but it wasn't a 90' one, it was a horizontal one and I don't know what the quality or rating was.  I wanted to check on it myself.

I checked PA and they didn't have anything like that on shelf anymore. Thanks though,
Ryan

Did you ask?  Red Deer PA has some last week.

I'm gonna have to check the Lethbridge Store.  Does PA actually call them toggle clamps?  Or are they all going to look at me crazy when I ask for them?  ;D

Print a picture, or mention the red plastic....see if that helps them.

And yes, quite possible they will look at you like you are crazy.....

More and more, the people who work in places that sell hardware and related supplies don't have a bloody clue what they're selling. I wasted over 90 minutes in a Canadian tire looking for heat-shrink tubing. Most of the employees didn't have a clue what I was looking for - had never heard of it. I eventually asked the general manager of the store, who said that they didn't carry it, and then HIS boss (on a stoe visit) finally showed me where it was.  ::)

I got the same runaround when I went looking for wood putty (because my carpentry skills are seriously ghetto, I can't get by without it).

The big chains are almost useless. Had great luck at Campbell-Mack on 12th St NE.

I've found Canadian Tire is brutally horrible for hired help.  Then again I imagine they pay bottom dollar for their staff and get what they pay for.

Looked up 'Toggle Latch' on acklands site. Came up with a few variations, none exectly like what I had here or need.

If I try these other places like Strongco/Campbell-Mack, what do I refer to this thing as? Are these just places to try or have you guys bought one from there? Most people just have no idea what I am talking about.

Thanks,
Ryan

Try Gregg's. Across the street from Standen's.

You may have to spend a half hour looking at their catalog, but they'll probably have something that will do the job.

Try calling it a cam lever latch.

In order to keep hijacking, try to find someone who you see at the big chains each time you go in there.  The Red Deer PA has a few people who have been there for years...they're usually able to even tell me what is in the surplus section, and THAT changes daily. No substitute for experience.

No substitute for experience.

That's what the person who answers the phone at Gertie's escort service told me...but I'm not buyin' it.

Called all those place mentioned...no matter how I described it, they all were blank. They wanted to say they didn't have it befor I even finished talking. Didn't even want my business. I can find the perfect one online in the states. Maybe I'll just order one so I don't have to deal with people :)
