I just finished installing my auto tranny and I am just wondering what the correct procedure for filling with fluid is because I know you shouldn't check the fluid unless running hot in neutral.
Thanks

chryslers all seem to be running in neutral hot. once at that point go for a drive and shift throug hall gears and then re-check.

OK but before that when the tranny is dry how much fluid do you put in to start. Then do you start the motor and let it warm up. Then check and add accordingly how much fluid does an auto tranny usually take. Sorry I'm new to the auto world.

Makes sense if you fill it to full the fluid should go down because you still need to fill up the converter and cooler.
