Post by: willy on May 02, 2009, 07:19:16 AM
I need some answers I have a t90 Trans in my Willys truck...I want to drop in a 1990 AMC in line 6 cyl 4.2 Ltr. (258) will the T90 bolt right up to the bell housing on that motor?

Nope.  The T90 (in your case, the T90J from a truck) was never mated to AMC engines....these trannies were around long before AMC joined with Kaiser-Jeep in 1970.  There are no adaptors that I know of for this scenario.

However, you could get an adaptor for the T90 to fit other engines.  I would consider a Chevy 4.3 TBI or a Buick V6 like I have in mine....a 350 is nice for power but kind of overkill for this era of vehicle.

Poke around that link....it will give you not only answers, but also more questions to ask.  :)
