Title: Fuel Problem? not sure.

hi there.  having a problem with my fuel, or with the gauge.  not sure.  but, when i get to about 1/4 tank of gas, sometimes i lose all power in the pedal but the jeep does not turn off, just doesnt move.

fuel filter?

what you're sayin is it will idle but it wont accel or rev up when its getting low on fuel? my fuel gauge stops at 1/4 tank. maybe you're actually running out of fuel. or, the pick-up filter is plugged up are starved cause its not positioned properly. try a fuel filter but id drop the tank to be sure.

thanks for the advice, unf i dont have the facilities, tools, money or brains to take my tank off.  i got it down to about an eighth of a tank last night before it started to slug out.  i am going to try running a cleaner through it, and see if that helps, and aside from that, i am stuck driving it till it becomes more problematic.  thanks alot.
