Good idea but you can get the same thing from the US or the truck stop for about half what you want. Might need to adjust the price.

Crazy! guys down east are eating them up. Maybe cost adjusting is in order.
Thanks Fraser

$30 is a pretty good price... you can buy mounts for cheaper but they're the universal junk aluminum ones that you can get at any cb shop.
Check the motion offroad one: It's $45 US...

I had one of these on my last Jeep and it cost over $20 at the cb store and it sucked.

$30 for something
A) Made in Canada
B) beefy (1/8" is PLENTY strong for a steel antenna mount)
C) Made to fit
Is a pretty decent deal to me...

The only issue I can see with these mounts is the chance of ripping it off if you kiss a tree or a rock... you will damage your tail light also if it rips off.
I guess it all depends what kind of wheeling one does.
The best place for an antenna on an XJ is right in the middle of your roof... that means drilling a hole ::). that set up will get you the best reception and the antenna it a bit protected by your roof rack (if you have one).
still..nice work Craig!

I agree 100%. I've seen two antennas mounted like that get ripped off. Building it beefier will just take more stuff with it when it goes.
Suck it up and drill the hole.

Sorry guys, been busy with a sick wife for the last couple of days.
I agree that the roof mount is one of the best options, but sometimes drilling the hole is something guys dont want to do.
Valuable points, and thanks for the input and compliments my friends.
Cheers, Craig
