So, on my drive back home from work Friday - I looked down to see that my speed-o-meter and my gas gauge and my RPM gages were not working at all. Also, my Check Engine and Check Airbag lights were on as well. I eventually made it home, not knowing how fast I was going or how much gas I have in my tank and then, where my Kms would show, the message "no bus" would appear.
I checked to see if one of my fuses was broken or anything like that and found nothing. Then, when I went to go start it again, absolutely non of my gages worked and the no bus was still on. I drove it to the gas station (because I knew forsure I needed gas) and I hit the speed bump pretty hard and all of a sudden (you guessed it) everything went back to normal and has been fine ever since. I drove it out camping this weekend and went over some pot holes but nothing went out of wack. :o
I am thinking maybe my ground wire is not connecting properly, or maybe I just have a sensor problem in general - any thoughts?
Thanks a lot.

the "no bus" is refering to the large pin connector that hooks into the instument panel....... more than likely it has shook loose at one of its connections and needs to be simply pushed back in, this is why it started to work after hitting a bump

ive had this happen as well
read that its the connectors that plug into the back of the gauge cluster. Take the dash apart clean the connector and give the pins a " GENTLE" twike and i mean gentle to help hold the connector in place
did this 2 years ago and havent had a problem since and i beat on this thing

Thanks, I'll be doing some cleaning and fixing this weekend. Maybe even throw the bikini/tonneau cover on while I'm at it!
I appreciate the replies. :) Hopefully it will fix it for good.
