The rear axle in my 97 tj has moved a couple of inches to the right, I thought it was a bent lca but after changing it there was virtually no change. Both myself and someone else has measured it, It has definately moved.
sway bar links are bent, most brackets look a little bent.
It has been suggested that the track bar might be bent.
How do I check that ?
looking at it there doesn't seem to be anything obvious, I could just remove it and compare with a new one, but is there an easier way to confirm that it is damaged.
Am I going in the right direction or could there be a different issue.
dana 35 with low mileage rubicon springs 2 " spacer lift, new shocks.
thanks

You don't have to rempve it, just take your tape and find another TJ and measure its track bar, hole to hole then compare to yours. Also check the frame and diff brackets to see it they're bent

I believe that, when you lift a tj and keep all the other suspension components stock it has a tendency to move the axle out of alignment. If my memory is correct I think that it is the trackbar most effected by this, however I am not sure how much it should move out with a 2 inch lift but the stock bars could be your problem...... you may only need an adjustable track bar to correct the problem.

I will measure and compare, going from hole to hole sounds like a good plan.
I know that lifting the jeep will affect the alignment a little, I think that this is more than that, one shock is almost vertical and the other leans way too much.

it was the rear track bar. Ended up taking out the 2'' blocks, replaced the track bar and everything fell pretty well back into place.
thanks for everyones help

I was debating buying an adjustable track bar, but i got such a great deal on a new aftermarket one, (just over $100) that i went that way.
besides so many people are telling me that they want to buy my jeep, that one day someone will actually step up with some cash then I can get my JK. :)
Someone I know is saving really hard and should have cash in two paychecks so I'm just waiting for him. Then I can change my handle to JK54, yes that 54 is getting to be close to my age :(
