I just acquired a 1959 Willys Jeep FC 170 DRW (Dual Rear Wheel) 1 ton with a 226 Hurricane engine. What a truck. It is all there but no flat deck on it. Pretty rare they made very few of these units, and it was sitting at an auto wrecker near my house. What a great find. And an even better deal...I traded him my 1989 Jeep Commanche 2WD that was pretty rusty straight accross for it! As it turns out I have # 128 of 335 made in 1959.

I looked for one of those for years! that is a sweet truck. I wanted to do one up to haul my truck and a trailer to and from campsites.

I'm in love! You are one lucky man! Somebody abandoned that??? :o Some people.

I am in love with it too. I had never seen a dually before. I just parted out another FC 170 last month...so there are a few around Southern Alberta hiding in unsuspecting places.

Missed this thread....those are sweet rigs.
And yes, I imagine the majority of the older rigs in Alberta that have survived have been in the drier south areas.
