Title: soft top material

So i wanna spray my soft top with the same  rain protectant that you would use on your tent /trailer with.
 But   apprently i need  to know what kind to use , a silicon based or a waxed base or canvas based
Anybody done this before and know what kind of spray to use or  know what the soft tops are made of

well i just wanted to spray on some of the stuff u can find at  canadian tire or whole sale sports.
