Has anyone here purchased one of these "No Name Brand" headers for the 4.0 L off of Ebay?
If so let me know if its worth it or any horror stories.
Thanks in advance.

in my opinion dont waste your money, most 4.0L's allready have a tube style exhaust manifold that gives you decent flow. if yours does not have a tube style manifold go to pnp and get one it will be really cheap. if you are looking for more proformance, upgrade your exhaust system not your header. magna flow gives sizing for optimal exhaust size (inlet of muffler 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" outlet of muffler 2" to 2-1/4" ) remember bigger is not always better and why replace something that is working?
just my two cents :)

Thanks Pookapotamus,
I should have been more clear.
My manifold is toast.
One of the tubes that meets the collector is cracked 360 degrees around, and has a crack further up stream as well.
I tried to patch weld it together in the jeep with no success.
Knowing that the replacement is a PITA, I refuse to put in another stock manifold that will likely just crack in short order anyways.
That being said I'm cheap... So the cheapest header available is what I'm hunting for and the ebay ones fit the bill.
Locally I priced out a Pace Setter for around 360 bux which is not in the budget right now.

mine has been on my jeep for 18 years and 250,000 miles! go to pnp and spend $30 for another tube style. but hey its your choice! good luck ;)

Pook, give iit time...it WILL crack on you.
I put an Edelbrock header on my 98 XJ. It was expensive, but well worth it!

I agree with Pookapotamus, I could spend $500 on a brand new shinny one that may last 100k - 200k or I can buy a PNP one for $30 that will last me mabye 50k - 100k. Even if I was to replace it every 50k I could still buy 16 of them for the same price of a new one this could last me 800k for the same price.

Or I could go to pick and pull spend a couple hours pulling one, only to find its cracked out of site on the inside at the collector (very common).
Or suppose its a good one, I install it and it cracks on my first trip out... Boo
Now I've wasted 5 hours of my life removing and installing factory manifolds that have an unknown life span.
And lets face it were all likely on this board because we love modifying stuff... Particularily Jeeps.
If I can upgrade my exhaust for a nominal increase in cost over factory replacement I'm all for it.
But if these Ebay headers dont fit, or are of a totally inferior quality, I dont want to waste time on that either.
Just hoping to get an opinion from someone who has experience with them.
