Title: shaking under acceleration?????
Post by: maritimeYJ on November 24, 2005, 10:57:27 AM: Can anybody give me any ideas on this....I have a 88 YJ 4.2L and when I accelerate my jeep shakes like something is wrong in the drive train...the more wieght in the jeep( people in back) the harder it shakes. If I am coasting or slowing down its fine only under acceleration....faster I accelerate the harder it shakes.....any ideas?

Also I have a noise in my tranny ( I think in tranny) when I'm decelerating it makes a rattling noise...

any help would be appreciated

Anything beyond that gets worse, either rear pinion problems, or t-case output.

Did you get your inspection stuff done?
