I'm wondering what the chances are of the rear drive shaft yoke wearing out on the splines?
either on the tail shaft end of the t-case or the drive shaft yoke itself. I'm questioning the amount of free play I have on the end, non rotational.
Not sure if I'm using the correct terminology here..
Thanks..

I thought I've seen threads on this also but never looked into them. I'm having troubles searching it.
My driveline has 370k+ on it, this is why I ask...

Just took a shaft into Pats for a rebuild, the slip spines were worn out as well as the Yokes so they have to build me a whole new shaft. Granted this is a pto shaft for my tractor but you get the idea. It is possible. Especially if it is used for a long time unbalanced. The slip yoke in my shaft was so worn out it let it vibrate which wore out the yokes.

Thanks for the replies.. I think mines quite worn out on the splines, I'll have to try to swap in a different yoke to see if this changes anything.
Cheers! ;)
