Ok, I have major issues with tps sensors. I have tried all different brands from can tire autovalue, partsource, and oem. I get approx. 3 to 6 months out of it before the jeep starts to buck under part throttle. could there be an underlying issue that could cause a tps to go bad? I am getting really frustrated this is my 12th. and a new tps cures the problem. The jeep is 2.5 5 speed. Any and all suggestions would be very appreciated. will try anything.
thanx
oh also have swapped all other sensors except map, ordered it this week. I just think the jeep is 15 years old and they should all be replaced (ie milage)

Mike...throwing any codes at you?

ive seen some tps go bad from the engine being washed or just getting wet. id be sure to check the connectors for a good seal. does this jeep spend a lot of time in the mud and water?

yeah, sorry its a 94. SO no OBDII and no codes. not even a tps code. just bucking and sometimes power loss @ full throttle. No mud/offroad, for a long time. BUT every time it does this I change the TPS just like I did today, and bingo works awesome again.

check the wires carefully, i went through the same thing. and I eventually found a bad connector at the tps end. I can't remember for sure but I may have spread the contact pins a little bit to get the good connection
