Title: Hi from the new guy
Post by: Grambo on July 02, 2009, 06:24:13 PM
Hey guys
I don't have a jeep but I love wheeling :)
I wanted to join your forum to learn more about what others are doing and where others are going.
I also wanted to make some new friends that are into 4x4s and get in on some easy organized rides.
I am 26, responsible and proud to embrace the Tread Lightly philosophy.
I have a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 shortbox,reg cab with 3" of lift and 285/75/16 (32.8") BFG ATs.
Its a pretty humble 4x4 compared to the rides I am seeing posting on these forums.
Plans for the future: rear locker and gear reduction
My favorite aspect of 4-wheeling is recovery when the unexpected happens.
I hope I can meet up with some of you guys soon.

Welcome to the site...

Unfortunately Ganbo  you need a Jeep to join this club. There always a few runs through the year that are open to non members. We don't usually wheel with full size trucks because most of the time they are too heavy for the recovery gears we carry. I don't mean to discourage you but it is a Jeep club.

You can ask as many questions as you like ...we'll try to help as much as we can.

The Four Wheel Stampeders is a great offroad club that accept fullsize trucks. They have been around for a long time and are very good folks. Send a PM to Hi Lo Silver or cLAY on our site (they are members of the FWS) or visit their site.

Hope we'll see you on the trails sometimes and shake your paw one day.

Cheers,

Dom
