I don't think it's a jeep, most likely an FJ40, but awesome either way.

Is a vehicle automatically written off if the engine is submerged or something. I wonder if one got stuck they could ask their insurance company for a new heep 8)

didn't you see the video and the pics of that jeep in Alaska that went for a swim in a river and was left for dead til a bunch of good ole boys went looking for it later in the winter. All they found was a small piece of the roll bar sticking out of a sand bar. They dug around the frozen, sand and rock caked TJ carcass and then winched it out so they could take pics posing with their tires on top of a broken down jeep. It had been left as "un-recoverable" so they "salvaged" it. The word was that insurance had paid it out and written it off. before it went for it's little ride in a very fast moving river it was a nice looking jeep. :cry:

yup, that was the one. I saw the video of it crossing the river then floating away. It was funny when you first saw it, then if you put yourself in that guy's position it's pretty scarry. :|
