Title: rubi u joints
Post by: nickcoleman9 on July 12, 2009, 12:04:42 AM
Hey just wondering if anyone has done a set on a 06 front44 axle?  Is it super difficult, do i need special tools? should i get a greasable or non greasable set?
This is a dd that sees very minimal offroad but a bit everynow and then.  Also whats the labor time 2-3 hours i am guessing?
If anyone can help with some info or would like to show me how( i pay in beer and food), fairly mechanically inclined but have never done this job. Thanks NICK

so i got the axle out, and for the life of me i can get the u joints out.  i tried heat, my vice all sorts of fun stuff hammer and socket bigger hammer......
So does anyone have a lot of practice taking these out, mabey a press for them or something?  I could run over almost any where in town to get this done, just cant seem to get them out, thanks NICK (oh and yes the clips are out)
