hey i have a 99 tj 2.5 litre 4 cylinder it also has a 4inch suspension lift i was wondering if anyone is running 33s on this and how much it effects the performance. would i be better off just buying some new 31s?
also i am looking into the mickey Thompson baja claws good are they good tires anyone have any experience or reviews for them? also if i do get the 31 or the 33 will either fit on the stock tj rims i know beadlocks will be a good investment and that's what i will get after i just need to space out my purchases
Thanks

31s are doable, 33s suck and if you plan on any highway driving 33s and a 4 banger really sucks with the stock gearing. However, you can regear t0 4.88s and get back to the performance on stock tires.
As for the claws, there are definitely better choices out there. What kind of terrain do you plan on running? 31x10.5s will work on the stock rims and a 33x12.5 will work but no a good choice unless you have an 8" wide rim (canyons).

i have 33s on my jeep and its a 2.5
on the hwy, i rarely go into 5th.
they are fine for city driving and trail riding, just hwy driving is not the best.
i wont go bigger than 33s with this motor.
i also had mickey thompson baja claws, they were an ok tire, lots of road noise and vibration. when i siped them the direction of the tread, they became an amazing tire, especially in the winter.

i ran 33's in various width (9.5-15.5) always on a rim with 3.75 bs.
My lil 4 banger got the job done for 6 years til i blew the motor at 174,000 kms ;)
