A disco is a place where they play funkey music with a multifaceted mirrired ball spinns around.  The people that go to these places wear weird clothes and speak with funny slang terms.   :D  :D  :D

The Disco would refer to the front axle disconnect.  This is a vacuum actuated method of uncoupling the front axle.

most all XJ's have a D30 front, if you have a disco axle, there will be a large hump on the passenger side where the upper control are bolts on and there will be a few vacum hoses running to it. Non discos are just a stright tube from the pumpkin to the knuckle. :D
