Title: Jeep YJ Renegade Stock Bumpers - Keep or Toss?
Post by: justchillinout on August 27, 2009, 12:44:59 AM
I have a 1991 Jeep YJ Renegade (Red and Fast! not)

I've removed the stock front and rear bumpers (yes there is a rear bumper).   All the plastic, styrofoam and metal (and yes, there was lots of styrofoam!)

Is it worth keeping the old plastic and metal?

I'm thinking that if I sell it, the next buyer may want the stock look?
Or, I may want to keep my custom bumpers and place the old ones back on to sell it.
Or, do I keep it to sell to someone that may need it?

Opinions?

I'm doing a run to the metal recylcers soon and wondering if I should toss this stuff in the back of the truck.

Thanks

I'll tell you what I did with my old bumpers when my 07' was only a few months old.  I gave them away and it never felt better to get them outta my apartment.

If you yourself don't need them or want them, get rid of them.  It's a 91'.  If you ever sell it from this point onwards nobody who buys it is going to care if it looks stock, they're going to care that it runs.  If you can sell them off instead of just offing them all the better.  I managed to sell my old running boards for $250 and my old tire carrier for $200.  Good chunk of gas money right there.

Keep it and try and sell on kijiji or somewhere I was going to throw all that plastic renegade stuff out or just give it away when all of a sudden I came across a guy looking for it.  I told him to make me an offer and ended up getting 400 plus 50 for delivery to Edmonton and I was going anyway he offered.  One mans junk is another man gold I guess
