Title: Body Lift installation, 97 TJ
Post by: WagoneerXJ on August 28, 2009, 04:55:43 PM
I know what you're all thinkin, body lifts suck. My GF wants one so I'm tryin to keep her happy. I'm right in the middle of installing it. and have a problem. All the pass side mount bolts and the front bolt are out.

The Driver's side bolts are loose (as per the instructions) now when I jack up the body on the pass side, the rear mount by the bumper won't lift up enough to get a block in there. I jack up the body more and the rear tire starts comin off the ground. What the hell is goin on?

I got it figured out. I didn't know about those two body mounts hiding up by the gas tank! LOL. All the bolts were loose, thanks for trying.

Got it done. The instructions said 8 hrs. Took me a wee bit more than that. But they were very detailed instructions, I was pretty happy with it. Kit was made by ZONE Offroad.

But they were very detailed instructions

How can they be very detailed if they didn't tell ya about the body mounts if front of the gas tank ? :P ;D ;)
