Post by: redbull on December 07, 2005, 03:56:00 PM
Are coils from a XJ, WJ, TJ, etc. the same diameter, length and rate?

But they can be interchanged (mostly??), I have Grand Cherokee V8 front coils in my comanche.  Spring height the same, beefier coil, it made up for my winch and heavy front bumper sagging the front end. And a friend of mine had these coils in his TJ before I got ahold of them.

Looking for a set to use in the rear of an '91 BJ-41 Landcruiser. With the steel top, etc. it should weigh a lot more than a TJ. So... don't care about much other than getting the right spring length and rate for the vehicle. Do any of the aftermarket companies publish these specs for their springs?
