i got in trouble..............

i said 'well dammit, i work christmas eve, boxing day, new years eve day and every day in between. what fawken holidays do i have to be happy about? MERRY CHRISTMAS'

might have worked better....... if my boss wasn't Hindu...............

When I work at a MAJOR North American retailer, wishing a customer :Merry Christmas" or "Happy New Year" was grounds for a write up in your personel file.

Yup, I was being sarcastic, as noted from the lower case text :P

I'm pretty sure there are extremists in every religion. Asking to remove the elephant is a little close minded as is telling people they can't wish someone a Merry Christmas.

The Zoo isn't trying to impress on anyone that they need to start worshiping the elephant anyway. I think that it is fine to believe in whatever you believe in. I also don't think that sharing your faith is wrong in any way. The problem is when people go to extremes and begin to think that they can judge someone else. If you feel strongly about your faith then live it...to the fullest. If someone else decides that that is what they want for their life then good, but condemning others will only get you conflict and possibly WAR.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and faith. No one should be condemned in any manor for that. If that guy wanted to write a letter to the zoo thats up to him. I don't think he should speak for most Canadians.
