Title: Has anyone tried heatertreater?
Post by: dac on September 30, 2009, 08:22:57 PM
So the grand blows cold air on the passenger side, can hear the motor go bot no change in temp.  Instead of taking it to the dealer for the $1200 fix which I'm pretty sure it'll be I was thinking of doing this:   www.heatertreater.net

http://www.heatertreater.net/Grand%20CG%20dual%20motors.html

Although the recirc still works it's throwing the code for door travel so I'm tempted to get the combo kit

http://www.heatertreater.net/Grand%20Cherokee%20re-circ.htm

Saves from emptying the ac and cooling system.

What do you guys think?

wjjeeps.com doesn't say anything about heatertreater, just that you have to remove everything to fix a problem that is common.

Thing is we want to sell it but kind of have to fix this first.

Dwight, heatertreater is the kit you want unless you want to drop ~$1200 at the shop.  I'll try and dig up the write up on the whole thing for you.

you are correct sir. it is a 1200$ job to fix the broken blend doors on the GC's. plus a/c recharge. i dont do them cause i dont like hangin out under the dash. its not a fun job in my eyes. that trick may work. but if you mess up then you'll need to spend extra coin to repair the broken parts. meh, try it out.
