Not too sure where to start... need some ideas.
Replaced the starter in my YJ and then immediately it had a new starting problem.
The starter cranks the engine but it still won't start.
Fuel pump?
No fuel pressure?
TPS?
No codes come up when checked...
Where do I start? Any ideas on what to look at first or things to rule out without just starting to replace parts? Anyone have a fuel pressure guage I could borrow?

That's easy. Tell Eric to get his butt over to your house and have a look at it.
It's nice to have a patsy..umm..friend who works at a Dealership spin wrenches on your stuff.

this must be kristen. with the key in the "on" position, listen for the fuel pump turning on in the fuel tank. if you can here a humming then that works. you can check for pressure at the shrader valve on the fuel rail as well, this is where the fuel pressure gauge would plug in. just poke the valve and see if a bunch of fuel sprays you in the eye. if you get it all over the place then id say theres good pressure... ya i know, its a dumb way of checking. but without a gauge you dont really know the real fuel pressure. while cranking you can give the crank position sensor a tap or two and see if it starts right up. crank sensor could be acting like i do in the morning, old and slow... a fuel pressure gauge would be nice tho.

does it feel like it wants to start? does it stutter and try to start? after you try the fuel lines check for spark. easy way to do this is to pull a spark plug, lay it on the engine block, crank the engine. if you can see it spark then it may be fuel. if theres no spark, time to check a bunch of other things ;)

I'm having the same trouble. I just changed the CPS today and that didn't work. I have lots of fuel and it turns over fine. It just won't fire. The condo board lady just chewed me out for wrenching on my car so I have a tow truck coming to get it and haul it to the shop. >:( I know it is something stupid and easy to fix but don't have a place to check everything out. :'(

how many km's? I had that problem turned out i needed a new rotor and cap. Check for spark first i could be wrong.

Listen for the fuel pump to see if you can hear it prime. If so, pull a spark plug and ground it, try starting it and have someone look at the plug and see if it's sparking. If not it's not sparking, check the coil that goes to the distributor.

Thanks everyone for the ideas! I had Eric (hps4evr) come over and we are replacing spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor.

it turns out the distributor wire to the cap was corroded. so, before we can move ahead it needs a tune up. came across a few other minor things along the way. poor battery connections. winch cable connections werent great either, badly corroded. a burnt fuse. a few small things to keep an eye for.
