ok i need some info .. so anyone that can help please
my 5 speed out of my rubicon 2004 is shot
picked up a 6 speed out of a 2005 rubicon
bellhousing is different at least the cps is not the same .. can someone confirm if i can just use my 04 bellhousing with the 05 tranny

i think you need to change the ring gear wear the cps reads off of but i'm not a 100% sure.

the 6 speed you got is the nsg370, if i remember correctly the bellhousing cannot be removed. the 5 speed you had was the nvg3550. you may be able to swap the fly wheel and try the later CPS. but i think the later CPS is on the other side and uses a different connector. may still work though. you may be better off rebuilding your 5 speed. over all the 5 speed is a stronger transmission. look around on then net for info on the swap. im sure others have
done it.

i have heard rumors that using your current flywheel with the new sensor should work - i don't know for sure. the sensor is different and is on the pass side of the trans for the 6 spd. and the bell housing is incorporated into the whole trans housing.
so your two options are either cut a hole in the new transmission where the crank sensor is currently and mount the old sensor there. you've got to be sure about where you are cutting your hole though but i've heard of people doing it successfully.
or you can get a kit that replaces the balancer on the front of the engine and moves the crank sensor up there.

good call on the front mounted crank sensor. i forgot about those.

i also have the flywheel for the 6 speed . im just wonding options
can i get my hands on a 6speed sensor and just splice it into my harness ?

i don't think so. i think the 6 spd has 2 reference points on the flywheel and the 5 spd has 3. again not 100% sure, but if that is the case then your ecm wouldn't be getting the proper signal and timing would be way out.
