I just had a weird rattle start under my 07 wrangler when I'm in first gear and reverse. It has just started since all this snow has fallen, it has gotten alot louder in the last couple days and it only happens when i let the clutch out.

there was a tsb on the jk's for a clutch disc rattle/noise. we were puttng in the clutch disc from tj's to solve it, with moderate success. could be it.or it could be snow stuck somewhere.
-
i thawed the jeep out and i can not hear the rattle anymore so we will just have to see, there was quite abit of snow packed everywhere
-
I hope so because i have a long road trip up to the yukon for christmas this month and i don't need any problems for that
-
Hmmm, hasn't happened to mine yet and I've had build-ups of snow/ice/mud in likely every conceivable spot in my jeep..... Were you letting the clutch out normally or dumping it at the time?
I thought the TSB for "noisy" clutches was for the "chirp" sound some of them were making. Which mine makes to some degree but I don't care.

mine did that because that front u-joint wore out, its not a greasable joint, replaced it and everything is good
