Title: tj 4.0 swap info

i would like to swap in a 4.0 but i would like to do it simply, i do have a welder and some fab skills but i was just wondering about the wiring part, i now the yj guys just add two more injectors to the stock 2.5 harness but is this possible on a tj??

I can't see why not because the 2.5L and 4.0L should have all the same sensors.

completely different harness,  you can do the swap, but you need the donor's wiring harness and PCM.

Yes you need the PCM but why is the harness completely different?  The 4.0L was based on the 2.5L
