I am thinking about running some lights on the roof, but I don't know the best way to run the wires.
I don't really want to have them through a door, cuz that just sucks.
it is a 97 xj.
any ideas that do not involve drilling holes in the roof.
cheers steve

Run them down the roof to the back to the hatch, and go in the gromet with the wires that run the stuff on your hatch.
Or sumthing like that ;)

IF you have a seal around the windshield run it along it and down to the eng bay if you are wanting lights pointing fwd. IF no seal there I have also laid them on top of the exsiting glue seal and silconed to the top of it with the wires running inside of the silcone. Just make sure to pull the wires tight and tape them in place while the silcone dries.

The day when you decide you don't care, and decide to drill holes is very liberating.
I suggest dragging the body down a tree a few times, then drilling holes. 8) ;D

i thought i would be smart and drill holes and put in gromits to silicone but they still leaked, so this time when i am wiring the new xj i will be runing wires down the window seal, which works good because of my roof visor hides every thing on the top.
