Title: How to tell what axles I have....

The place im buying my lift from is including a special on the diff cover gaurds......

They need to know what type of axles I have to match it up but what part of the vin number will indicate the axles I have?

grand cherokee right?
what engine?
if you have the 6cyl your axles will be D35 rear D30 front.
if you have the V8 its a D44A rear, D30 front. (this applies for years 96 - 98)
it will be a D35 if its 93 - 95)

Thanks, I got the 97 grand cherokee with the inline 6 but you summed it up perfect,

I think I will get on the phone and order up!
