Title: Can someone build this?
Post by: TheCaptain on March 04, 2010, 01:12:28 PM
Having absolutely zero welding experience or metal fab knowledge for that matter  :o, any handy folks out there who would have an idea on how to build a similar interior rack?
I'm thinking of just using square tubing with steel strapping as the bottom "floor" of the rack.

Has anyone done anything similar?  Appox. costs? I'd buy the necessary tubing, just need someone with the build know-how!

Thoughts??

Cheers!
Steve

I'm stuck at work otherwise I'd run out and check, but is anyone familiar with the measurement specs between the roll bars?

Princess Auto sometimes sells a 2" reciever basket/cargo tray. The tray fits nicely between the roll bars as a shelf and you'd only have to fab up mounting brackets.

Just a thought.

*edit The 2" receiver assembly unbolts from the tray easily.
