Title: Brake Pads
Post by: fony3 on January 10, 2006, 11:39:28 PM
OK, last thing i need to change for a little while.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on what type or brand of brake pads I should get. For the time being I am only commuting, with the odd off roading "stunt" to show off my new baby to my friends.

In the future I do plan on taking it to do some serious off roading. How soon this will be I don’t know, since I need to get bigger tires, lift, etc…

Thanks

I got the Monroe shoes and pads from crappy tire, not bad but the 3 year warranty is sure good for the shoes.  Already used it once and plan on using it again.  Mud and drum brakes do not mix.

I replaced my complete front brake system (rotors, calipers and pads) this summer with PartsSource (Canadian Tire) mid-grade parts. There's a thread with pics on here somewhere. Very happy so far.
