Title: New MJ Project
Post by: thayer03 on March 10, 2010, 11:57:07 AM
So a mechanic at my old work called to let me know that a guy came into the shop and had $1500 worth of work done on this Jeep Comanche. A week later he was back with noise coming from the back. The rear diff needs rebuilt. So he gets upset and decides he just wants to sell it. Therefor I jump all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake. So I got this for $650.
1990 Jeep Comanche, 4.0L, 5 speed, 4wd, longbox

Plans are a 4 - 5" Lift with 31's. Nothing too major. This will be a third vehicle for the wife and I. I am just sick of borrowing a friends truck when needed so this will likely not get used a whole lot. May get out to play the odd time though.

Gotta love connections eh? I just finished fixign up a Subaru that needed headgaskets. Owner couldn't afford to pay a shop to do it. I asked how much and she said Kidney foundation offered her a $50 tax reciept so I had to beat that. I got it for $60 cash.  ;D

Of course I then spent $800 in parts fixing it. Would probably have been more but Jamey hooked me up.(yes that was a shameless plug).  :D

Randy, not only is it a nice score, but they are great rigs for doing the odd job.  Unless you are hauling lead or plutonium around, if it fits in the back it's not too heavy for it.  8)
