ok heres my rant for this weekend
i hate people that have no control over there animals small or big . if anyone has met my boxer LEX he is the most out going dog in the world all he knows it play play play play play play
hes great with kids adult and any animal .
all the neighbor hood kids love petting him everyday after school as they pass by the house he stands at the end of the drive way and the kids just love him
i just recently got a 3 month old boxer for him to have a friend as i work alot i felt it unfair for him to stay at home all day alone so he loves this little guy they get along great . never any worries he watchs out for him all the time and is like the bigger brother
any ways back to what im fumed off about
this man was walking his 2 sheppards down the street on leash and well little LEX went to say hi still on the drive way . with no warning these 2 sheppard attacked him and dragged him into the street and ripped him apart he has holes all over his body and holes in his ears and even his butt is ripped open and he cant put any pressure on his rear right leg
this man ran off and has not been seen since .. i have never seen him or his dogs in the area . so i figure he is new to the are since alot of houses have been sold lately
now stuck with 400 dollar vet bill and thats what it is now . if he need surgery itll be more then 1500 bucks to fix his side .
i want to put posters all around the area with big WARNINGS 2 agressive dogs are in the area watch out for the safety of your children and animals any one with knowledge of the where abouts of these dogs and owner please contact ME

That sucks Jeff, hopefully you see the guy around the neighborhood and he owns up to what his dogs did.
Lex is friendly, I remember the first time I was at your place and he nearly bowled me over ;D

he seems to be doing well .. he wants to play but hes not allowed so its good that he wants to go back to being himself but
docs say to keep him relaxed and not to much activity for him

Lex is a great dog. I hope that he has a speedy recovery - and that the sheperd owner shows some spine.

Get a hold of bylaw and let them know, if they've got licenses for sheppards in the area, they may look into it. At least then it's on record, hopefully it'll help them catch the owner.

the peace officer has already taken his report and is doing the search this evening . i beleive there new to the area so if the guy hasnt done the address change then it may be hard to find them thats if they are licensed

I hope your dog was leashed and/or fenced , because, if not..... This whole mess may come back on YOU unfortunately. :(

no he was off leash and on his property .. no matter what it comes down to the dog that has the damage is not in trouble . so even if my dog went into there back yard and got ripped apart its not my fault .. that owner would still be in trouble i spoke with the peace officer and thats what he told me

That sounds more like an opinion, and unfortunately, every judge has one.
But it sounds like you have no worries on this one....here's to wishing the little ball of fun gets better soon. 8)

Sorry to hear about your troubles man. Wish a speedy recovery to your family (yes dogs are family). Dog owners with questionable dogs should always have them under control. Hope they find the owner, I have a shovel...

Unfortunately, this is NOT true.
Anyways.... I do not want to start a pissing match. I just really hope everything works out and MOST importantly, the dog is OK. ;D

Sorry to hear about your pup, hope he has a full recovery. There's a lot of this going around right now, two weeks ago a dog was killed at our local dog park. Owner fled and left his dog at the park, by-law caught the dog but not the owner. Might want to look in to "vet insurance", for about $35/month they will cover anything up to $20,000/year I think? I broke down and got this two months ago knowing that if something happens to my dogs I'll go broke and pay the bill before I put them down.

ive been told about this since i got the new pup so i think ill do this because its not cheap for anything on a animal .. and even if he never needs it i rather pay the little bit then the huge amount
thanks guys ill post updates on how hes doing .. i just came home today and let him out and he wants to play so i dont think its in to much pain but he still not putting his rear leg down so something is stiff for sure

it is reasonable.
for kitty it was like 19$/month.
200$ deductible and full coverage up to 2500$.
it would have cost us about 400 for kitty when she had her surgery instead of 3k and my old truck :(
