Know of any runs this weekened 21-22 or anybody going out??
I believe the CJA Cheeze-Slider run is on Saturday 21st.
You might want to check with Dom(swampsinger) if it's a members only run.
-
Traditionally, a CJA run would only include Jeeps, mostly members but non-members could join the run as long as they drove Jeeps or were passengers in Jeeps. They had to have minimum equipment - tow points front and rear, tow strap, good tires, CB radio (often overlooked). If food was provided a $3 fee was charged to non-members.
Open runs ( not labelled a CJA run ) include all persons and all rigs, minimum equipment still required - often overlooked ie: no rear tow point or no CB radio - though having both will make your life more enjoyable  .
I assume this info still applies, correct me if I'm wrong.

Right Tom... you bring your own cheese sliders (hot dogs.... w/ cheeze if you want  )

You're more than welcome to come along bgill!!! :D ... I saw your equip. specs. on the Indian Grave thread... You seem to have a nice rig man!!
It's all fine but....
Did you get a spare for your rig? :? ... You always need spare when you don't have one... Murphy's law...
It's a "bring your own Cheeze slider" run...... I'll have a small BBQ...or we'll do a fire.
We'll eat breaky @ smithy in Cochrane at 8 am.. leave the parking lot at 9am and go... I think we're doing Cow lake trail!
Minimum requirement: Tow points (front & Rear), CB (or FRS), good tires (no baldies) , tow strap and hot dogs  :D
Good to have: tire chains, winch, lots of water and warm clothes.
Cheers,
Dom

So who's in for this run?
-
If I can get work wrapped up in the next two days, I might be down.
Will you guys be staging at the gravel pits? If so, then if I can make it I'll meet you there around 9:30.
Take care,
Kris

I think at the CJA meeting last night we had 5 or 6 jeeps comming and a few passengers.
Dom was orginaizing and leading the day to give him a head count we should acknowlege who is comming. If you are new please give Dom an idea of what your rig has. Looking forward to meeting a few new faces. Sounds like we will have a good size group.
I am still in and bringing a passenger.
See you Saturday!!!!!!

Ya Kris ... it's been a while man. Hope you're doin' well.
I would say about 9:30-9:45 @ the G. pit.. whatever time it takes from Cochrane to get there. Let me know if you're coming we'll wait for you.

Thanks dude.
As of now, it's looking bleak. I'm trying to tie up loose ends at this job before I start my new job on Wednesday, and things just went sideways.
If I get to go, I'll post up Friday night before I leave work (probably around 8:30pm by the looks of it).
Take care,
Kris

Well, this trips a no-go. Sorry I can't make it. Stupid work getting in the way of wheeling. *shakes fist in the air*.
Hope you guys have a good, enjoyable run. While you're booking around in the mountains, I'll be stuck at my desk, so have a slider or two for me. ;)
Take care guys. Drive safe.

Lots of people are cancelling.... so who's coming? :?: :?:
It will be snowing tonight... the ones that are saying that it depends of the snow conditions prob. won't come.
I need some answers !!!!
If I don't get more intrest in the run I will cancel it. :? (sorry guys)
We can't go in a winter run with only 2 Jeeps w/o winches.
It seemed that I had some intrest at the meeting ...so...
at 20:00 i'll make a decision.
so far ...

See you for breakfast.

I'll see ya @ Smitty's. Just think, if it snows enough we won't have to worry about the ice  , and you know those M/Ts work in the snow. May have to reconsider trail choice.
-
Awsome trail ride yesterday. Thanx to Dom and Chris for leading the group.
