Good to hear some changes for the better (engine wise) are planned,and the pickup idea is cool too.

Even the new (Pentastar) gas engine will great, expecting about 260bhp. Also, about equal torque from 1600 rpm in the new Wranglers.

I was really hoping they would bring out a diesel version of this.... so many years of waiting for it. Who knows, if they ever do I might have to trade my truck in for one! ;)

Ditch the chrome, put some 35's on there with bedlined tube fenders....then you're talking!

I am curious to see what happens. The AEV Brute was originally developed for production but Chrysler did not want internal compition for the Dakota. Now that Fiat is running the show more than less they have already said that they want to bring the Jeep line up to more of a main stream brand with smaller and more diverse vehicles for the global market. The article interviewing the GM for Fiat, I read basically said they want to become a global competitor like Toyota and they feel the Jeep brand is capable of doing so.
