Yup quoted $160.00 for the rear 3 windows and they aren't even in the truck

i got tint from walmart and did it myself years ago. $20-30. if the windows are out you're laughing

Yea 20 bucks for tint at crappy tire. How dark do you want to do? Because in my experience anything over 5% is to dark at night. 5% looks good, but so does 20 for that matter...

I was thinking the same DIY $160 bucks may double the 93 XJ's value lol. I was thinking 15-20% ish no limo tint. Enough to kill high beams coming up behind, prying eyes out of the trunk
-
Where did you go? I got quoted $50/window all-in.

Called 4-5 different shops and name dropped at a few places,.. Its like they just flat rate the windows. All I wanted done was the 3 rear windows too,...

Yeah I know jobber on the amount of tint should be like $30-$40 MAX + Labour,.. and all the labour is taken care of not even a window seal,.. so I may just do it myself,..

Its quite simple to do it yourself too, as long as you know how. If you need guidance, and you can't bring over a friend who's done it before, I'll bet google and youtube will have something to offer :)
I've done a few vehicles myself, the only problem I had was with the rear window in a BMW, can't remove it so has to be done while installed, the window itself was so curved, and there's not a lot of room to get at it. Other than that, every window I've done has been rather painless!

i've done tint on my caliber, its quite simple, a heat gun is a must especially for highly curved windows to shrink the film, i bought mine from canadian tire. on the xj the windows would be fairly easy to do. $25 for a roll of tint, 2 rolls should do all 3 windows on your xj.
