Title: Clutch pedal height (93 XJ)
Post by: JENSSEN on June 01, 2010, 07:35:04 AM
Hey there ladies n gents, for those that have a standard 5 SPD XJ, where does your clutch pedal engage? Top ? Middle? Floor? Mine seems to be way to damn low (floorish) and I was just curious. Can you adjust them up? I haven't even looked at it yet so sorry if this  is a rookie question ,... Oh and btw I did check the fluid. Nice and full to the top

they are non adjustable (self adjusting).  my xj and tj both disengage lowish compared to some other cars but not really low...is it tough to get in and out of gear? Is there a little pedal travel past where the clutch disengages?

why do you want everyone to know the definition of blasphemy? just curious...

My YJ is low on the range as well and as stated above the 93 should be an external slave and therefore it is a sealed system so no adjustment.

It's the name of his competition Jeep. Part XJ, part MJ, and some Ford axles. Jens uses it to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.

Thanks man could not of explained it better.

The clutch questions were because 1st and 2nd gear were initially a bit sticky going in, but now that I am driving it more it seems to of corrected itself,.. it did sit for almost a year and with 531,000KM I guess I will let it slide,..
