Anyone have any experience with "modding" the back seat in a 2 door TJ?
Atm it's the typical folding bench seat, but to maximize space I was wondering if it would be possible to maybe cut it in half and make 2 folding seats with some rework?
I'm thinking if I can do that then I'd actually have enough room for the kid and the dog/stroller... that said, it would still need to be strong enough to be safe for a child seat.
Maybe this already exists, anyone seen something like this before?

i've seen it.... what was it called now... Cherokee... Liberty... hrmmm something like that ;-)

how old is the kid? take the tj seat right out and fab a frame up for one of those sweet racing child seats on one side ::)

I've also seen a write up on how to mod a stock seat...I'll have to look around a bit more to see if I can find it.

try a chicco umbrella stroller. we can fit two kid seats and have space left over.

wow sweet, more common than I thought, the kid is... -a month old right now, the wife is Due early july, I just assembled the stroller tonight... (not gonna fit)
my mom bought us a Graco Tour from costco... nice stroller for sure, but it does not fold very small

we borrowed a Graco similar to that tour and i hated it all the time. id return and get a jovey cabose ultralight. its about the same size or smaller. will hold a baby bucket and is also a sit/stand as a double stoller. you will need it if you have a second anytime soon. ive spent more time buying kids wheels lately than jeep parts.
on a side note i picked up two graco nautilus front facing seats that have the RECLINE option and drink holder. so when there older i can take them wheeling
