I'm trying to figure out what the trackbar axle mount bolt size is for my 97 TJ with the stock D30 up front.
And also anyone have any idea how to remove the current one that's hex head is so corroded that the bit spun it into a perfect circle...

There are some "ez outs" that have a different profile (short and stubby) that may work (I have a set, you could try one if u like) or you could weld a nut onto it.
heat and penetrant will help.
Good luck

I was attempting welding a nut on at my dads house but he only has a 120v welder and it couldn't fuse the metals. I might look around tomorrow for another set of easy outs as the ones I have are longer. Where did you get the stubbies? My only concern is this thing is seized on there pretty good not sure if an easy out will be able to grip hard enough.

The stubbies are Irwin brand bolt extractors.
I don't know if they'd do it either but if you don't force it and are patient they usually pull through.
You could also try this: heat up the bolt/nut juncture and soak it with penetrant, strike the bolt head several times (to break the rust and encourage penetration) andf then try using a cold chisel (held tightly with vise grips) and a BFH...if you first lightly tap a groove on the bolt head on the otside edge and then wail it on an angle that will encouage it to turn it may start to turn...I dunno it's worked for me...and yeah, 120v welders don't bite so good, eh?... PM me if you like, you could try one of those extractors if you want or I could weld on a nut for you....good luck...gotta love the torx heads eh?
