Title: XJ gauges working intermittenly

Have two 99 XJ's and both have experienced this problem - the speedo and tach will die will driving and the airbag light will come on, and eventually they kick in again.  This morning the wheeling jeep had this problem except it didn't stop, and then all gauges stop working.

Anyone have this problem, and know what it is?

Sounds like a loose connection to your gauge cluster. There is a couple of connectors behind it that may need some attention. I had a problem like that after I ripped it out to replace a burnt out bulb.

Bingo...a little punch and they started working again!  I had the cluster out a while ago too, so that's it.
