Title: Oil Cap
Post by: Alltornup on August 02, 2010, 08:37:51 PM
So the last three times I have changed the oil of the TJ 4.0l the oil cap breaks when I take it off.  Anyone else ever had this problem.  Just seems weird

You need to use one of the upgraded 710 caps. Those cheap oil caps will never last on a Jeep that gets off-roaded.

Just our some cement in the top of it, that'll stop the leak.

Or maybe try a hacksaw...

Or stick a golf ball in there....

Well...just hook up a shop vac to it, that'll handle most of the leakage...

Hey wait...if you route the leakage onto your manifold, it'll just burn off and not bother anyone.

You may be able to detonate a small nuclear device above the leak to seal it, but this has only worked 4 out of 5 times for the Russians, so 20% failure rate :/
