Title: wire ???
Post by: Pookapotamus on August 12, 2010, 01:46:03 PM: so i have ordered a welder, but my garage is only 110v so i need to run a 220v wire out there. now i was an electritian so i have no problem hooking this up but what i want to know is where is the best place to get the wire i need and the recepticals?

Agreed.

I did something similar for my Dad..... but he uses the dryer plug in his cabin. I bought SJO (might have been SJOO can't remember) got it from Anixter Cable just south of the Airport.

I picked up a 50 foot welding extension cord from PA for $100.00 about a month ago. Hard to make one for that price.

I haven't used mine yet but they seem to be of decent quality.
The nice thing about PA is they will always take it back if you don't like it.

Post by: rollicon on August 14, 2010, 01:42:01 PM: I'm using a PA extension cord right now. Nice cords actually. 50 Amp with LED lit ends. Just as good as any I use at work.
