Hi Everyone
I'm a member of EJC and I notice we've been invited to your event on the 18th. I'm thinking of moving to Calgary next summer, partly because I'm tired of being 3 hours from the mountains in Edmonton. If I do move, I would love to join the CJA so I thought this might be a good time to come down and meet a few of you.
Karen :)

Hey Karen.
We would love to have you come out for this event. Hope to meet and see you there!

Cool! ;D
I was looking for requirements to go on a CJA run but couldn't find the thread. I don't yet have a CB in my Jeep but I have upgraded my tires, I have two hooks in the front and one in the back, a tow strap, a shovel & axe. I'm still working on outfitting my rig but it takes time because of the cost. I hope what I have is enough to at least come out for this run. Thanks.

Usually the trail leader will post up the requirements.
These could include:
CB (handy but not required)
Front and rear tow points (usually mandatory)
Minimum size of tires in good condition.
Depending on what the minimum tire size is, it sounds like you are good to go.

i will even come out..just cuz..no cb, i dont need to hear chit shat when wheeling....see you guyz there (if it gets organised..lol) ::)

This is a member only event with the other clubs, so watch the EJC site for more details. Details won't be posted on the open forum on the CJA site.

Just so everyone's on the same page, newbies especially, while CBs are used for 'chit shat' they are important for communication and safety purposes. The CJA recommendeds that you have a CB, or provide yourself with an alternete form of communication, such as working FRS radios. You may not care about hearing the banter, but you will miss out on important trail information as well. It is up to the trail leader to allow, or disallow your participation on a CJA event.

it's the same stuff all the time on the CB ... making fun of the French guy...."who's the guy with the funny accent"...." I can't hear what you said man... speak English!" .... " don't eat bacon and talk on the CB at the same time... did your mama taught you some manners?"... yadee,,yada...
you don't miss much .... except for the safety stuff of course ;) (don't want to be told by Bonnie... I've heard she's mean ;D)
I will get in trouble for that one

Had a great time on the trails this past weekend, the scenery and company were outstanding, it was really fun to run trails that I haven't seen before. Hope to attend next years event.

I had a great time too! I wish I was a CJA member so I could see some of the pics people got! If anyone got some good shots of the TJ with the green hood I'd love to see them.

Hey Guys.. you bet it was a great wheeling with you all.
We must live a good life because the weather was outstanding on the trail.
Thank you for the help to pull that F150 out of the ravine.
I'll see what I have for pics.
looking forward to doing it again.
