Hey all,
Found a set of yj lift springs on kijiji, just the four inch rough country springs only. Dude says they have sagged about an inch. If I buy these am I just wasting money? I know I will still have to get shocks, brake line extensions etc, am I better off buying a whole kit?
This will be a long term project, but for now I just want to stuff some 31's or 33's under it until I do a full spring over with axle swap.
What's your thoughs?

Depends on price I guess. You would need shocks and probably a drop pitman arm as well.

Would a stock zj pitman arm do?

you'll need shocks of course, longer brake lines are alwasy nice. dropped pitman arm, ZJ might work im not certain, and a t/case drop or slip yoke elim. ditch your track bars too. if they are cheap and have good bushings then go for it now and save some bucks for the other parts. stockpile everything till its all ready to go then install. then save for 33" tires.

New springs are going to sag eventually too.

Got a good deal on a 94 sahara, dad bought that and I traded him the xj for it. He needed a puddle jumper in fort mac, both jeeps are still in my name though, black betty's not gone forever.

Call the YJ the Black Yak.

rough country has addressed the sagging issue;
the used springs are likely older; and were built at the old factory RC used to go through; they've changed suppliers since then and have much better springs. (i've heard)
i run rubicon express stuff and love it, but for the price of RC stuff its hard to beat.
personally, i'd wait and buy all at once..................

Like my previous four jeeps, it has to be called something with betty in it, so this yj will be betty rubble
