Hey All, the plant I'm currently contracted at is auctioning off all the remaining equipment that didn't get transferred to the plant in the states. There is a lot of stuff (mostly big) but I figured a few of you would likely be interested.
CNC equipment, Large compressors, sheetmetal forming equipment etc. see the flyer.
Details:
Haworth Calgary Plant Closure
10 Smed Lane SE
As a reminder - anyone can register to bid on items in the auction. There is a $500 refundable credit card charge up front that obviously gets reversed if you do not buy anything. The actual payment terms and conditions are stated on the Hilco flyer.

I believe Dec 6th is the date they are allowing people to come in to preview/inspect the equipment.
happy bidding, there is also going to be a webcast run at the same time, with web bidding enabled.

Too funny, my wife worked there for 13 years (started with SMED). Wonder who bought the building?
-
I don't think anyone has yet, the sign is still outside, I mean this building is massive, how many companies out there can really justify buying it?
I've been here for just over a year now, so depending when she left I may have met her :P

I forgot to thank you for the heads-up - I'll be heading down with a couple of the University racing teams to see if we can get a drill press and some vacuum pumps.

She used to work in the IT department as a buisness analyst. Went to a better place, less travel for her.
