This is kind of a lame questions and not really "tech related" but does anyone know how to mount a license plate on the stock front bumper of an 02 TJ. I tried with a basic screw, but because there is no threading and its basically impossible to get a nut inside the bumper tube I am at a loss.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks

Aren't there those nylon inserts that just push into the bumper? Available at Canadian Tire.

maybe get ahold of Jenssen, his new jeep from Ont/BC had a front plate on it iirc, maybe he doesn't need what ever was holding it there before?

Perfect! Thanks! I will be stopping at Canadian tire!

Im assuming pl9000 is some kind of glue? Like the olds red green duct tape idea too, very classy!

drill a hole and install a rivnut then bolt it on, or use a sheet metal screw.

Nick is great at rivnuts and they are awesome and easy.

Just pulled some plastic inserts out of a TJ bumper this weekend, they just clip right into the bumper holes and accept screws.

I already had the bumper off, so I used somr grade 8 hardware from the bolt bin. Overkill? YES
