I see all the awesome front bumpers for my JK avaailable.... many have D-Ring brackets mounted at the 4 bolt mounting area. My truck already had the bumper type I wanted on it when I bought it but no recovery points. Anyone found a local supplier or manufacturer for just these brackets??

The problem with just adding brackets is...what are you pulling on?
Bumpers are made to taking pushing force (metal is forced against frame end) and when you get into pulling most are not properly secured to take that load.

The 4 bolt mounting area on each side goes directly to the frame

If you want, princess auto has clevis tabs originally designed for mounting hydraulic cylinders. It's what I used, and I think Clay used them as well when he made his bumpers. They're long enough that you can cut a hole and weld them from both sides. I think I got the 1" thick ones and they fit a 3/4" or 7/8" shackle really well.

Bingo! Gotta love Princes auto. Thanks, good idea

Yep I used those on my rear bumper build, worked great. I welded both sides AND welded it directly to the brackets that bolts onto the unibody. I would not weld these to a stock bumper.
