Like the topic says, Why is the brake light on in my dash?
2004 Ford Freestar minivan, brakes seem good, doesn't pull, stops fine, no unusual noises, grinding etc.
Master cylinder is full of fluid, electrical connection on MC is intact, switch on park brake lever checked and is working properly and the ABS works as it should.
What else causes the indicator light to come on?
Thanks in advance for any help

Never worked on one myself, but be wary if you're going to run and pickup a code scanner. Consumer level code scanners usually cannot pull ABS, AirBag, and certain powertrain codes due to it being deemed a "safety" issue and thus those codes can only be pulled by the multi-thousand dollar units at the dealers (or those lucky enough to have gotten their hands on them).

You might have gotten a bad reading from one on the ABS sensors. Try scanning or unhooking the battery for a couple of hours.

Wheel speed sensor? just tossing it out there.

Disconnected the battery and grounded out the positive for about 10 seconds, re-connected and the light is gone.
Thanks guys.
